The Governor has proclaimed that Tuesday, May 25, 2010 is New Hampshire Scholars Day.

On this day, more than 900 of the 1,400 graduating NH Scholars will be recognized in a special ceremony at the State House.

Twenty-four of the thirty active school districts plan to participate in this special recognition next Tuesday.

 

Congratulations to all of this year's students and schools.

And thank you to more than 140 business and community volunteers who champion this effort in our local schools.

First Annual

Hillsboro NH Scholars

Golf Tournament

Crotched Mountain Resort will host our first annual tournament to benefit the Hillsboro NH Scholars program.  Registration will include a shared cart, lunch, range balls and golf! Check the attachments for more information.



New Hampshire Scholars is part of the State Scholars Initiative, and any student enrolled in the high school for the 2010-2011 school year is eligible. Hillsboropoly Board Games are in!!

This Hillsboro themed board game will provide hours of fun for the family, or can be just for nostalgia!

If you would like to purchase a board game, contact either Joe Walker or John Bramley.  The board games sell for $20, and all proceeds benefit the   Hillsboro-Deering NH Scholars Program.

 

You too can own a small piece of Hillsboro!


Interesting data regarding NH Scholars on the state level:

v  There are now 20 school districts participating in NH

v  443 students statewide graduated in 2009, up from 143 in 2008 

v  86% of these graduates enrolled in higher education (57% went to a NH institution)

v  Incentives given by NH colleges continue to grow

v  More than 150 business/community leaders volunteer in our 20 districts
